Where the shizzle are you guys

You know, everytime i Visit Zero Discplacement, they would ask me, " Ni men MI lei?"

And i don't know how to answer them. Apart from me, i do not know what you guys feel about ultimate now.

After the A levels or promos you all better show me something. Lol.

This is totally Frisbee unrelated but its for my senoirs taking their 'A' levels this year, i've seen you guys put in so much into frisbee so i can safely say that you've put in just as much into your studies and on the day of your papers itself, you guys can leave after it, knowing you've done your best. I don't really have much to say but all i can say is good luck and i believe that you guys will do us and the school proud. =)

When im gone, like really gone, who is going to update this blog?

here are some random phrases which i dont really know if they make any sense to anybody at all. But i hope that you all see the meaning like i do.

"We know the disc stance,
we go the distance."

"I run, you huck.
We score, we hug."

"DISCovery & DISCipline."

and of course from the previous post, "Don't just chase a plastic disc, but chase an ultimate dream."

Always remember, Ultimate is not just about chasing a plastic disc, But chasing after a dream.

What is your dream?

Mine is to keep improving, and impart what i can to others.

Expired Captain's reply.

I don't think I'm fit to be called anyone's captain.

I've not someone who leads by examples. And whatever I've displayed on the field is not positive example as well. What kind of leader screams and shouts at his players for faults that are accounted for by circumstance?

I do not need you all to play until you bled or die or vomit blood or even put your life on the line this saturday.

When you enter any game, you must have targets in mind pertaining to the game, and the real winners are not those who win the game, but fulfil the targets one has set or even surpassed your own expectations.

These are some targets i think we should imbue in us for this saturday's game.

1) Fair play (that is what Ultimate is all about)
2) Camaradie (Another key aspect of Ultimate, in or out of court, as well as in and out of the teams.)
3) Winning the respects of the other JCs, and if possible a few games.
4) Keeping yourself injury free.
5) Play your best, but not over your limits. Know your own standards. We did not train as much as the other teams. So it is ok if we lose the matches as we have nothing to lose out.
6) Throw the disc, but not your face, or your dignity, or your life, or the school's reputation.
7) Play not only as MI, but as people who have a common passion and interest.

That is all for now.

Saturday's Game

I know i'm in no position to say this, but of all the games we've played or are gonna play in the future, the game next Saturday i can safely say would be the biggest and the grandest of all, kinda like the "Wrestlemania" of frisbee for us. I just wanna thank my seniors who brought me into the game in the very beginning, i know i wasn't exactly the best player, in fact, most i could do was catch and sometimes i didn't even do a good job of that, i didn't come for most training sessions and sometimes didn't even listen to u guys fully, but thats not the point. Guess what i'm trying to say is that i know how much this sport means to you guys, by showing me how much the game means to u guys, i've actually come to appreciate the game and learnt alot more about myself in the process.
You guys made me love a sport i never knew existed and by doing so, you guys gave me a chance to prove myself on a different playing field. I learnt to work in a team and grow as a team. To my Captains, thank you so much for guiding me as a player and in life, i know talking to me sometimes is hard and those times i dun really listen. But thank you for never giving up on me, telling me to believe in myself and all those times you told me to never give up on myself. Though there were alot of failures and politics within the faction, you guys were strong enough and wise enough not to pull the Pre U 1's in and for that i really thank you =).
This Saturday, i don't really know what its going to be like, i've never even been to one of these before, but i'm gonna turn up and give it my best. I don't know if we're gonna win or not and James, i know u'd want us too. But when we step on the field next Saturday, we're not going in as "Flickers" or "Too Hot To Handle", we're going in as Team M.I everything else is irrelavant, and right here right now, i promise i'd give my all cause this game is gonna mean everything to u guys, all the blood sweat and tears you guys have shed for the team and after the game, when everything is over, no matter the outcome, i'd still stand proud and say that you guys are my seniors and i'm proud to say you're my captains and i'm real happy for you guys that after 3 years, all your efforts have paid off and you're standing where you'd want to be. =) Champions in your own right
